I have lived in the Saint Joseph, Missouri area for five years now. It is a lovely city of approximately 77,000 people just an hour north of downtown Kansas City. Here is a list of things I like about Saint Joseph — in no particular order.

  1. SJMF Radio Station https://streema.com/radios/St_Joseph_Music_Foundation St. Joseph Music Foundation is a broadcast radio station from Saint Joseph, MO, United States, providing Entertainment, Concerts and Festivals by musicians and performing artists and community service. They have the best assortment of music ever!
Krug Park

2. Krug Park, located at the northern end of the Parkway St. Joseph in Saint Joseph, Missouri, is a large city park with Italian Renaissance structures, extensive landscaping and flowerbeds. The park’s 163 acres (0.66 km2) house an amphitheater, a lagoon, rose gardens, picnic areas, an Italian castle, scenic walking trails, and various playgrounds.[1] Krug Park “lights up” during the holiday season as Holiday Park.

3. Parkway System The St. Joseph Parkway winds through the City of St. Joseph for 26 miles. Developed in 1918 by architect George Burnap, Saint Joseph was one of the first cities in the United States to develop an imaginative and comprehensive parkway plan.

Popular for hiking and biking activities, the completed system connects principal parks and recreation facilities throughout the city. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. The Parkway runs roughly, from Northwest to Northeast through the city from Krug Park to Hyde Park a portion runs on Noyes Boulevard.
